Grip — How To Hold the Club

A correct grip is the foundation of the entire swing.
Learn: neutral grip, pressure level (a firm handshake, not a death squeeze), and consistent hand placement.

Stance & Alignment

Your body must be aimed where you want the ball to go.
Feet, knees, hips, and shoulders parallel to the target line — like standing on train tracks.

Posture — Athletic, Balanced, Ready

Slight knee flex, straight back, bending from the hips, arms hanging naturally.
If you start in the wrong posture, the swing becomes a rescue mission.

Ball position

Ball position changes with the club. Correct ball placement affects launch, direction, and contact. The ball position is just as important as the swing itself.

Weight Distribution

Start with roughly 55% on the lead foot, relaxed and balanced.
Good weight distribution helps produce solid, centered strikes.

Takeaway — Low, Slow, and Connected

The first 30–50 cm of your swing set the tone.
Keep the club low, rotate your shoulders, and avoid “snatching” the club inside.

Backswing Rotation

Turn your shoulders fully while keeping your lower body stable.
A good backswing loads energy without forcing or over-twisting.

Top of the Swing Position

Club pointing near the target line, wrists set, and body coiled — not collapsed, not stiff.
This creates the power source for the downswing.
