Giving Your Members the Golf Theory Knowledge to Play Smarter
All golfers start their golfing by having a short intro course for getting their green card, and maybe a few hours of training before hitting the fairway on their own. Most beginners have little or no deeper understanding of what they need to do to have fun on the golf course.
After a while this starts to cause some frustration. Their golfing does not get better at all, or it takes a long time. Too long time.
This is not because the golfer is not able to get better. It is because the golfer does not know how to. Of course a golfer can take pro lessons, but not very many do, or at least do not take a sufficient number of lessons.
Getting a real understanding of golf, at the golfers skill level, in a way that is easy to understand, can dramatically improve the fun on the golf course.
It will also improve the fundament for taking effective benefit from lessons with the club pro.
Our courses are highly visual, and give golfers a deeper understanding of what to do, why, and how.
.
During a course there are usually many AHA-moments. Suddenly it becomes clear why a problem arises, what a golfer needs to do to avoid it, or what to do to get out of trouble the safe and easy way.
We use high-quality visual explanations to illustrate cause and effect. Animations show how different decisions will give different outcomes.
All made specially for the skill level the golfer has.
Who is it for
We have developed our courses for different golf skill groups. Golf skills are often defined by handicap, but we are not huge fans of doing that.
Club golfers are often not very precise when it comes to setting their handicap, causing their handicap to not correctly reflect their skill level. It is not uncommon to forget to count that driver slice that made hitting a new ball (or two) necessary. Or to maybe accept slightly too many “I’ll give you that” on the green. You probably get the point.
We prefer to focus on how long has a golfer been actively playing. For most golfers that is a more precise indicator of the skill level than their claimed handicap.
For our courses
A beginner golfer has played a season or two, usually the correct handicap is over 30.
A next level golfer has been playing 2-3 seasons, usually correct handicap 20-30.
An intermediate golfer has usually played more than 3 seasons, and is often playing at a mid handicap.
But this is difficult to set precisely, there are many aspects to take into consideration when setting a skill level.
